Usually all computer user make use of the Delete key to delete unwanted file. When you delete a file, the system sends this deleted file into the Recycle Bin. If you want you can recover from that Recycle Bin using “Restore” option. This Restore option restores that deleted file to its original location. Though this method of deleting files is the most widely used, there are also methods using which the deleted file can be made to bypass the Recycle Bin. You can also delete files by using DOS command prompt. It enables user to get rid of a file, by making use of the DEL command. But if you accidentally delete a file using this command prompt then,

How to recover files deleted using command prompt?

There are many recovery softwares available to recover your files when deleted using command prompt. The software also recovers when you delete a file from the Recycle Bin and when you delete a file using Shift Delete key combination or due to unintentional formatting or re-formatting, virus attack, file system corruption, power surge, improper system shutdown etc.

You can follow the following precautions to avoid data loss:

Always use the updated antivirus

Close all your programs before shutting down your system

Most importantly always have backup of your important file.

Having backup is the easiest and best possible method using which you can restore all your lost or deleted files. The backup copy is very effective in addressing the file corruption issue. But in case if you haven’t maintained backup copy of your deleted file, no need to get tensed, using recovery softwares you can easily recover all your lost or deleted files. Such tools are primarily devised for restoring and recovering your lost or deleted files.

Remo Recover (Windows) – Basic Edition application is available using which you can quickly recover your accidentally lost and deleted files from the command prompt. This software recovers your files from all complex data loss scenarios and it recovers files based on their unique signatures from the system. The software provides powerful built in scan engine that locates and recovers deleted files quickly. It recovers files when you deleted using Shift +Delete key combination. It can recover data from both FAT and NTFS file systems. You can also preview your deleted or lost files prior to saving it using the Preview option. You can download the demo version of the software and check whether this recovery software recover all your files when deleted using command prompt. But with this demo version you can only view the recovered file. If you are satisfied with the demo version you can buy the full version of the software which will provide you to save recovered file to the desired location. The software supports Microsoft Windows 2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 Operating Systems. The software is designed with user friendly interface and this interface itself will guide you to use recovery software.

Invariably people confuse a computer partition and a computer hard drive. They are under the impression that these two things are one and the same. While they are often terms used synonymously a partition and a hard drive differ in that the partition is simply a section of a component located on a drive. Consider first at a drive on a computer is merely a location where a digital data storage device is located. That device can be anything from a 1 TB hard disk drive to a simple 1 GB USB flash drive.

Yet in either case that device can be divided into segments and those segments will be referred to as partitions. Hence when we attempt the task of partition recovery we are merely attempting to locate and restore all of the contents of a given segment of a drives device. In cases where an entire digital storage device has been reformatted we refer to this type of partition recovery as needing to undelete. Technically when a digital media device such as a USB flash drive or camera memory card is reformatted all of the old files on that device are deleted. We then use a data recovery program to undelete files lost during the process of reformatting a drive or partition.

As with any application saved or loaded onto a Mac computer photo recovery tools must be designed to support that particular OS. Simply put, don’t try to find deleted digital photos on a Mac with a tool built for Windows. Now as obvious as this may sound it might surprise you to learn two things. First, people attempt to load Windows data recovery tools onto Macs all of the time. And second, there are many low quality file recovery tools that are claimed to be capable of Mac file recovery but must be operated from a separate PC.

For photo recovery Mac users obviously will do better using software built expressly for that purpose. These real Mac recovery programs install to your Mac and from your Mac will scan any digital media connected to it. Remember very often common picture file types so as JPEGs are adjusted so as to be archived on your Mac. A photo recovery utility installed on a Windows PC may be able to find a lost JPEG but not one that was saved on a Mac.

Whether you need help with memory card recovery to find lost digital photographs on a reformatted SD card or whether you are searching for an MP3 that mysteriously disappeared from your iPod the data recovery utility that you will use to accomplish these tasks is the same. Actually many of these unique and specific data recovery jobs are some of the easiest file recovery tasks one will ever attempt. The reason for this is basic and simple. When we need to rescue tens of thousands of files from a crashed hard drive we’re faced with very specific difficulties. The drive itself having suffered a logic crash will now no longer allow Windows to start up and run the computer.

This is countered by connecting the hard drive to a second technician computer. Internal hard drives can often be huge in size. The bigger the digital media or drive is longer it takes to scan that drive and recover from it damaged or deleted files. Most digital media connected externally to your computer is under 16 GB in size. This means that a scan and recovery tool can complete the tasks such as iPod recovery and memory card recovery in just a few minutes.

If you think that you can recover deleted photos using a general purpose data recovery program you are sadly mistaken. Those programs which are very effective for scanning and recovery of digital image file types such as jpegs are of no use when attempting to recover digital photos that have been stored in the original camera manufacturer’s RAW file format.

Software used to recover deleted photos must be designed specifically to recognize every proprietary camera file extension. And as it happens all of the major camera makers each have their own. Another important factor to consider is that not only must your program for image recovery be matched to your camera but you must also match the program to the operating system used in your computer. What this means is that if you’re using a Windows PC then you must use a photo recovery program that supports Windows. Likewise if you use a Mac your program must support Mac OS X.

The need to recover lost data arises for several reasons. The foremost of these is human error in the form of accidentally deleting files. Very often we simply click on delete instead of save and data is lost. Other times we might momentarily think we wish to delete a file only to remember later on that there was information within that file we still required.

Yet another common file loss human error happens continually when we empty our Windows recycle bin. Very often we use the recycle bin as a catchall for files and folders that we have not quite yet decided what to do with. We then forget we had placed things in the recycle bin as a temporary storage point and proceed to empty the bin. Better grade software to recover data is able to recognize files that had previously been placed in the Windows recycle bin and show them for recovery examination.

The need to recover deleted files arises in quite a few different ways. The most frequent of these occurs due to common human error. People simply sometimes delete files they meant to save. Of course we are not always aware we are deleting files. For example if we place a file in a folder and then delete that folder by placing it the Windows recycle bin, when we empty the bin we also permanently delete any files we had placed in the folder.

We can also delete files by ignoring the prompt to save when closing an application or by accidentally reformatting a drive. This latter problem occurs far more often than one would think. We can recover files deleted in any of these ways quickly and easily simply by scanning the last known drive location of our lost files with a robust modern data recovery tool. Software of this kind is available for any type of personal computer using any type of operating system.

Most Mac users love their computers and swear by the notion that Mac computers are impervious to virus attacks, hardware freezing and data loss. This belief is ridiculous because a Mac computer is just as susceptible to file loss and data corruption during startup or shutdown as any Windows based personal computer. And the solutions for Mac recovery are for the most part identical with those for Windows data recovery.

Restoring a Mac Computer to operational status after it has suffered a hard drive crash requires you to reload your Mac OS X operating system just as you would reload Windows in the event of a Windows hard drive crash. And as with the Windows scenario Mac file recovery should be completed prior to reloading any Mac operating system. This is accomplished by connecting your Mac hard disk drive or solid state drive to a working Mac computer onto which a data recovery tool has been downloaded and installed. The tool is then directed to scan through the crashed hard drive and copy from it any existing or deleted files.

I think the greatest difference between Microsoft Outlook Express and the larger e-mail client Microsoft Outlook is that when messages are lost using Microsoft Outlook Express the cause tends to be human error. When emails and other information is lost from the Microsoft Outlook application the root cause traces itself back to problems with the software itself. The most common means by which Microsoft Outlook Express messages are lost is due to accidental deletion of the sent or stored file folder. The most common reason for e-mail message loss when using Outlook is exceeding the 2 GB inbox file size limitation.

Other inherent problems of Outlook include antivirus programs corrupting data after scanning incoming messages and attacks from actual malware programs. One can quickly and easily recover lost messages from both of these Microsoft e-mail applications. Outlook Express Stores all of its emails, settings and customizations in individual file folders much the way one would archive a Word document. These Outlook Express files bear the extension DBX. Outlook Express recovery simply requires that we use a data recovery tool to scan for these recently deleted files. Regular Microsoft Outlook recovery differs in that Outlook files are stored in one massive database known as a PST. To rescue emails lost from Outlook one must restore and repair to functionality the PST database.

Whether your choice of computer is a PC or a Mac, there is one dilemma shared by users of both. Mac computers use the Mac OS X operating system. Windows based PCs use any of the current versions of Windows OS such as XP, Vista or Windows 7. Both of these share a system of temporary file deletion. In Windows that is the recycle bin. For Mac users this would be the trash. The reason for their existence is to allow users to change their mind after deleting files. Upon emptying the Windows recycle bin or Mac trash container files are actually deleted. Yet emptying the contents of the recycle bin or trash does not necessarily mean those files can never be recovered.

As with any situation where files are accidentally deleted or cases where one has simply changed their mind and needs to find a purposely deleted file, they can use a powerful data recovery tool to scan their computer’s internal hard disk drive and find those deleted files. For recycle bin recovery one must use a data recovery tool geared precisely to the task of rescuing files from an emptied Windows recycle bin. Likewise to undelete trash Mac users must use a specific Mac recovery tool.
